1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the browser extensions, web applications (including Aura Story Builder at storybuilder.aurascriptworks.com), and services provided by Aura Scriptworks LLC (referred to as "Aura Scriptworks", "we", or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.
2. Use License & Access Tiers
Upon purchase, Aura Scriptworks grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use our browser extensions. We offer a 14-day free trial period with full feature access. After the trial, access depends on your selected tier:
- Lifetime Licenses: Grants you lifetime access to the purchased extension version, including free updates and bug fixes for that specific extension.
- Device Limit: Licenses are strictly for individual use and may be installed on multiple devices owned directly by the license holder. They may not be deployed across company or agency networks under a single personal license.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the extensions.
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the extensions.
- Use the extensions for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Share your personal license key with others, use it as a shared team account, or create derivative works.
4. User Responsibility & Blanket Liability Exemption
Aura Scriptworks provides utility tools; you dictate how they are used. We do not monitor, control, or endorse your actions. By using our extensions, you agree to the following:
- Third-Party Platforms: You are solely responsible for complying with the rules and Terms of Service of any external website or platform you interact with using our tools. This includes, but is not limited to, restrictions on automated data extraction, scraping, or automated submissions. We are not liable for account bans, suspensions, or penalties you incur.
- Content Generation: You are solely responsible for the content you generate, manipulate, or inject using our tools. We are not liable for any defamatory, illegal, copyrighted, or offensive material you create or distribute.
- General Misuse: Under no circumstances is Aura Scriptworks LLC responsible or liable for any consequences resulting from your choice of how, when, or where to use our software.
5. Indemnification
If your use of our extensions — including any violation of these terms or infringement of third-party rights — results in a claim, lawsuit, or demand against Aura Scriptworks LLC, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any related damages, losses, or legal fees.
6. Privacy & Operational Data
Our software is designed with a local-first processing architecture. We strictly do not collect, read, store, or transmit the contents of your work. To manage your account, we only collect minimal operational data (email address, license status, and basic app-health telemetry). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Google Drive (Aura Story Builder): If you choose to connect Google Drive, your story files are stored in your own Google Drive account and remain under your control at all times. The app can only access files it creates itself. You are responsible for your Google account, and your use of Google Drive is additionally governed by Google's own terms of service. You can disconnect Drive at any time from the app's Storage Settings.
7. Payments, Licensing & Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the legally recognized Merchant of Record for all our orders. They process all payments, manage secure transactions, and are responsible for the collection and remittance of all applicable global sales taxes (such as VAT or GST) based on your location.
All billing inquiries, tax documentation requests, and payment disputes are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Aura Scriptworks LLC is solely responsible for technical support, software updates, and fulfillment via your provided license keys.
- Licensing: Unless a product page states otherwise, purchases are one-time payments for lifetime access to the specified product version.
- Subscriptions: Aura Story Builder offers an optional monthly Pro subscription that renews automatically each month on the day you subscribed, until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Support dashboard; cancelling stops all future charges and your Pro access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for. No partial refunds are issued for cancelling mid-period.
- Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on every charge, including individual subscription payments. Refunding a subscription charge cancels the subscription immediately and ends Pro access right away. See our Refund Policy for details.
8. Support & Maintenance (No SLA)
Aura Scriptworks is an independent development studio. While we strive to keep all extensions updated, all support is provided on a "best-effort" basis. We do not offer guaranteed response times or enterprise Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The extensions are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the extensions will be error-free or uninterrupted. Aura Scriptworks LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, or lost billable hours) resulting from your use or inability to use the extensions.
10. Governing Law
These terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.
